Kit Chan, 48, Joins Instagram; Says She’s "Ageing In Reverse"

Yes, you’d better believe it. Singaporean singer Kit Chan has hopped on the Instagram bandwagon. And she goes by @kitkatclub1993 on the platform.
Though the 48-year-old did not give an explanation for her username, we figured 1993 represents the year the pop diva got her start in showbiz. And Kitkat's probably her nickname since young?
Kit made her first post just two days ago (Aug 1), and now has a thousand and counting followers.
Helloooooo everyone! I'm finally here! Better late than never, I say,” Kit gushed in her caption.
She went on to share that while she loves communicating with others, she has an equally strong need to be private and be happy in my introvert world.”
Therefore, while she’d always relied on “performances and other live interactions with fans” to communicate and share more stories about her life, opportunities to do that are unfortunately becoming more and more rare”.
And so Kit started her Instagram.
I really do think I'm ageing in reverse. I was a pessimistic teenager and now I'm a cockeyed optimist. I was living in an ivory tower, and then a cave, and now I'm stepping out! Welcome to my brave new IG world!” she went on to write.
Kit’s post was very well received by her fans and celeb friends.
Finally… Welcome to the “real” world!?” singer Joi Chua joked in her comment, while The Freshman’s Carrie Yeo wrote: Every world is better with you in it.”
Mediacorp stars Xiang Yun and Desmond Tan also left comments welcoming Kit to Instagram.
A few days earlier, Kit had confessed on Facebook that she was exhausted and filled with anxiety” after simply scrolling through the posts of her friends on Instagram. I'm a true introvert through and through , she wrote.
However, it seems like Kit has definitely gotten past her misgivings.
After all, she did share some pictures from her visit to what appears to be a hydroponics farm earlier today.
According to Kit's caption, she harvested 10kg of kale with another volunteer at the farm in one morning”.
