“Nobody Is Willing To Help”: Gary Chaw’s Late Night Facebook Rant Sparks Concern For His Well-Being

Things have not been smooth for Malaysian singer Gary Chaw on the personal front.
Last week, the 44-year-old admitted that there is trouble in his 14-year marriage and that he and his wife, Taiwanese fashion blogger Wu Shuling, are in the middle of a cold war,
And two nights ago, he sparked worries for his well-being after he went on a late-night rant (yes, again) on Facebook.
It all started with a post that read: "My wife loves this person! Great right!"
He then commented "I've become bad" and "I've become very bad", before deleting the entire post altogether and writing: "I just love my wife. Just attack [me]. Mutha c**ker!"
It did not end there.
Gary followed up with a series of cryptic posts like "I'm in Taipei. Where is she?" and “OK. What should I write now”, before ending with a post at 3:43am, saying: “If I break down. Please forgive me. I can’t help myself. And nobody is willing to help. No alcohol. No medications. No drugs. Just me myself and I. Obviously no love (sic).”
The posts, which many took as a cry for help, sparked concern from fans, who flooded the comments section with messages of support and encouragement.
“Nobody is willing to help you? I am not your fan but I know you are very lucky that a lot of people care about you. Everyone is the same. You have to rely on yourself to overcome the setbacks,” wrote one netizen, while another said: "No one will know how much pain you are [in]! But all of us will stay with you till [the] end!"
A few hours later, Gary posted a new message reassuring fans that "everything will be okay".
The past year has been a "most painful period" for Gary.
He previously revealed that he had lost four loved ones during the pandemic, which caused his depression and anxiety to recur.
As he doesn't want to be dependent on medication, he has stopped taking his meds and is working hard at getting stronger.
