May Wong has been a journalist for over 15 years covering mainly political and economic news. Some of her assignments include a number of international conferences like the first Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in 2009, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forums, the latest of which was in Yokohama in 2010, and the Davos World Economic Forum in 2008. For Singapore news, she covered some high profile stories like the Pedra Branca hearing in the Hague, the National Kidney Foundation trial and the Singapore General Election and Presidential Election, both in 2011. After returning from her British Chevening postgraduate scholarship at King's College London in early 2013, she started reporting out of Myanmar, interviewing local ministers from various sectors like finance, information and tourism. May started out at MediaCorp as a reporter with radio, before moving on to television news after about nine years.
