Here's how Captain Marvel's Brie Larson enjoys Singapore
By tucking into local dishes with co-star Gemma Chan.
What do celebrities do when they visit Singapore? Why, eat, of course! Which is what Brie Larson, the star of the upcoming Captain Marvel movie did when she arrived here a day ahead of her sole media stop in Asia on Feb 14.
First order of the day: Some lip-smacking Peranakan food at Guan Hoe Soon in Joo Chiat, where she tucked into buah keluak, assam fish and otah. To round off the meal, a selfie and chendol before heading for the ArtScience Museum.
The Oscar-winning actress looked like she ended her first night in Singapore with Crazy Rich Asian's Chan at Newton Food Centre with a spread of chilli crabs, fried mantou, satay, BBQ chicken wings and Tiger beer.
Chan also posted her supper sojourn with Larson on Instagram Story, probably reminiscing the time she was in town for Crazy Rich Asians.
And how about a little snack before meeting fans on the red carpet, or shall we say, the Blue Carpet?
Together with Chan, Samuel L Jackson, and directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Larson also met fans at the Captain Marvel fan event. And if you couldn't score a ticket to meet her, Atlas Bar might have been a good chance to run into the leading lady, too.
The actress sure knows how to have a hotel room party. In the spread of food, including mee goreng, char kway teow, Hokkien mee, fried rice, siew mai, xiao long bao and spring rolls, there was also a bag of Old Chang Kee.
We might just see her tucking into chilli crab in Singapore again.
