K-pop boyband BTS announce new album arriving in April
The new album, Persona, marks the beginning of their new chapter, Map Of The Soul.
K-Pop sensation BTS will be releasing a new album next month, announced the group on Monday (Mar 11).
BTS’ company Big Hit Entertainment announced that the group will drop Map Of The Soul: Persona on Apr 12.
The album will arrive ahead of the group’s upcoming Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour starting in May, which will see BTS playing stadiums throughout North and South America, Europe and Japan.
This is the group’s first release since they completed their Love Yourself album trilogy after topping the Billboard 200 top albums chart twice, first with May’s Love Yourself: Tear, and then again with August’s Love Yourself: Answer. The former cemented their status as the first South Korean group to top the American album chart.
BTS are currently still on tour and will play to over 200,000 fans in Hong Kong over their next four dates beginning Mar 20. The septet will complete the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself, which made a stop in Singapore earlier this year, in Bangkok next month.
The new album will be available for pre-order on March 13.
