Taylor Swift reigns supreme: ME! becomes fastest video to reach 100 million views
The colourful video for the pop princess's newest single with Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie achieved the feat in just 79 hours.
The music video for Taylor Swift’s new single, ME!, has broken records by becoming the fastest video to reach 100 million views on Vevo. And it did that in just 79 hours, or a little over three days.
Just before that, it had broken the record for most number of views in 24 hours with 65.2 million views.
And as we’re typing this, it has clocked in 129 million views and counting.
Tay Tay’s latest single also features Panic! At The Disco singer Brendon Urie. The video starts with the two of them having an argument in French, after which the dancing and singing begins with multi-coloured costumes through a fantastical wonderland.
The duo also performed the single – complete with a marching band – for the first time yesterday (May 2) to kick off the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
According to Variety, the previous record for fastest video to reach 100 million views were Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next and Swift’s own Look What You Made Me Do.
ME! is the lead single from Swift’s upcoming album.
