Chef Janice Wong wins Pastry Innovation Award from French restaurant guide La Liste

Celebrated pastry chef Janice Wong, 41, added another feather in her cap on Tuesday (Jun 18) when it was announced that she received the Pastry Innovation Award from French restaurant guide La Liste, alongside Puerto Rican chef Antonio Bachour. She's the first Singaporean to win the award.
The award was one of the 10 categories in the 2024 La Liste Pastry Special Awards.Â
In a post on her Instagram page, Wong said of her win: "It’s such an honour to be receiving the La Liste Pastry Innovation Award 2024. Thank you for the recognition! We will continue pushing the boundaries of pastry!"
Wong is famous for her dessert restaurant 2am: dessertbar which currently has an outlet at Holland Village in Singapore and another in Sydney, Australia. She also runs several other concept stores in Singapore including Pure Imagination and Softhaus at Great World.
Other winners at this year's La Liste Pastry Awards include French cake designer Bastien Blanc-Tailleur who clinched the award for the world's most creative pastry chef, and Ritz Paris Le Comptoir which was awarded the world's best pastry shop.
The La Liste guide aggregates thousands of publications, guidebooks and online reviews, and assigns hotels and restaurants in their database a 'La Liste score'.
