With many restaurants and eateries offering more plant-based options, it seems vegans in Singapore are spoilt for choice when it comes to good food.

So much so that abillion, a social media app that’s working to make social
impact and sustainability a habit for everyone, has just released its 2021 Singapore Top 50 Vegan Dish Awards to recognise the best plant-based options available locally.

Here’s the Top 10:

1. The Kind Pho (The Kind Bowl)

2. Chili Krab Burger (VeganBurg Singapore)

3. Unagi Maki (Herbivore)

4. Mexican Fajita Wrap (Genius Central)

5. Katzoo (Sunny Slices)

6. Plant Power Breakfast (Prive)

The Top 50 dishes were voted for by Singapore’s abillion members, determined using authentic reviews by vegan and non-vegan members on the app from more than 40,000 reviews across 16,000 dishes. More than 50 per cent of the dishes chosen come from non-vegan/vegetarian establishments.

The three-year-old app currently has 300,000 members globally with 25,000 of them in Singapore.

“In our first year there were less than 1,000 plant-based dishes in Singapore on offer through the app and we’ve just crossed 16,000!”, said Vikas Garg, founder and CEO of abillion. “It’s a huge milestone for sustainability, as we work with nearly 4,000 restaurants across the country to help them improve their dining options."

The food tech start-up’s goal is to impact a billion people to adopt a plant-based lifestyle in the next 10 years. Singapore is ranked second in abillion’s top 20 vegan-friendly cities in the world.
