Mandopop queen A-Mei to perform at Resorts World Sentosa next February
The Taiwanese superstar will usher in Chinese New Year 2019 in a two-night concert.
Taiwanese pop icon A-Mei is no stranger to Singapore, having been here on numerous occasions – most recently in June 2017, when she rocked out at the Singapore Indoor Stadium during her A-mei Utopia 2.0 Carnival World Tour.
The 45-year-old diva will return to these shores to usher in Chinese New Year with a two-night showcase on Feb 15 and 16 at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).
Known for her powerhouse vocals, dramatic costumes and electrifying performances, A-Mei – whose full name is Chang Hui-Mei – is expected to perform her biggest hits. The show will also feature an unplugged sequence that will allow her vocals to shine, unfettered.
A-Mei won’t be alone this time, with fellow Taiwanese artistes Anna and Eve Ai in tow. The 18-year-old Anna, who happens to be A-Mei’s niece, will likely get the crowd going with her dance moves. Meanwhile Eve will lend a more sultry tone to the evening: The 2017 Golden Melody Award winner for Best Mandarin Female Singer is known as the Queen of Blues.
Tickets are on sale now.
