Actor Christopher Lee says he still gets mistaken for Li Nanxing, 1 person even thought he was Mark Lee
Li Nanxing we get, but Mark?
In the latest episode of Dishing With Chris Lee, Malaysian actor Christopher welcomed to his kelong rising stars Xixi Lim, 36, Xenia Tan, 29, and SGAG’s Xiaoming, 37.
The trio were treated to Christopher’s version of soya sauce chicken, and while the dish sounded simple to make, the preparation turned out to be a tedious process.
It gave them plenty of time to chat about what it means to find fame on the internet.
A curious Christopher first asked if people give them weird looks when they take out their filming devices in public.
Xixi simply answered: “You have to be thick-skinned lor.”
Christopher continued: “What about people, for example, passers-by who take their cameras out to film (others) whenever something happens? Do you guys think that’s okay?”
Xixi said there are no copyright issues when they film themselves but believes that it's "not good to film others”, a sentiment that Christopher wholeheartedly agreed with.
However, he added that some people don't understand these boundaries.
“When (we) tell them not to film (us), they become bitter and say things like: 'Why can’t we film you? So what if you’re a celebrity?' I feel this causes some disturbance in our daily lives,” said Christopher.
They then got to talking about getting recognised in public and Christopher revealed that to this day, he still gets mistaken for another actor.
“People still mistake me for Li Nanxing. One time, it was even worse, they called me Mark Lee,” chuckled Christopher.
His guests were all tickled by his anecdote, especially Xiaoming who burst out saying: “Wow, you guys are worlds apart!"
"I’m saying that Mark Lee is definitely more handsome!” added Xiaoming, who then joked about jumping into the sea surrounding the kelong for 'offending' Christopher.
