Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine denies affair but admits he ‘crossed the line’ with Instagram model
Instagram model Sumner Stroh revealed in a TikTok video that she and Levine were seeing each other for a year while he was married to Behati Prinsloo.
Adam Levine, the lead singer of pop band Maroon 5, has spoken up following recent allegations that he had cheated on his wife – model Behati Prinsloo, who is pregnant with the couple’s third child – and that he wanted to name the baby after the woman he allegedly cheated with, Instagram model Sumner Stroh.
Stroh released a TikTok video on Monday (Sep 19) where she said that she and Levine had dated for about a year. The video also showed screenshots of Instagram exchanges that appear to come from the 43-year-old singer’s verified account.
In one such exchange that Stroh said took place months after they had stopped talking to each other, Levine appeared to ask Stroh if he could name his new baby after her if it was a boy.
Levine addressed the allegations in an Instagram Story on Sep 20: “A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner.”
He added: “I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life.”
The singer said that he has taken “proactive steps to remedy” the situation with his family.
He continued: “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together."
Stroh, who is 23, said in her TikTok video that at the time of the relationship, she was young, naive and “quite frankly, I feel exploited”. She shared that she had come forward with the story because a friend had tried to sell the screenshots to a tabloid.
Levine and Prinsloo had revealed just days prior to this affair allegation that they were expecting their third child. They have two daughters, five-year-old Dusty Rose and four-year-old Gio Grace, together.
