Barbra Streisand gives George Floyd’s six-year-old daughter Disney stock
Gianna Floyd is now a Disney shareholder, thanks to the singer-actress.
Singer-actress Barbra Streisand has given George Floyd's daughter, Gianna, Disney shares and a couple of her albums.
Floyd, whose death on May 25 sparked widespread protests in the US against racism and police brutality, was killed when a policeman knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes.
The six-year-old posted a photo on Instagram of herself holding up a letter from Streisand, a certificate of the shares and the albums, Color Me Barbra and My Name Is Barbra.
She included in the caption: "Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you.”
It’s hasn't been revealed how many shares Streisand gifted Gianna.
Gianna, who goes by Gigi, has also received several other gifts from well-wishers, including celebrities. Rapper Kanye West set up an education fund for her and Texas Southern University also gave her a full scholarship should she decide to attend the school.
