BTS member Jin is set to be the first member of the K-pop group to complete his military service on Jun 12 after enlisting in December 2022.
To celebrate, the idol will be holding a fan meet-and-greet just one day after he is discharged.
This fan meet is part of the annual festival that celebrates the anniversary of BTS’ debut. This year’s edition, 2024 Festa, will be held in the Songpa District in Seoul on Jun 13, announced the band’s agency BigHit Music on Sunday (Jun 2).
Jin’s fan meet, his label said, was requested by the singer himself, and will be carried out in two sessions.
The first, titled Jin’s Greetings, will be a hug event, where Jin will hug 1,000 lucky fans. The second, titled Message From Jin: June 13 2024, will be streamed live to those with ARMY Membership through Weverse Live.
Various other activities, including photo zones, will also be set up as part of the 2024 Festa.
Meanwhile, fellow BTS member Jungkook will be releasing a new song, titled Never Let Go, on Jun 7. The song is described as “a heartfelt tribute” to his fans.
Jungkook is still serving his military service, and is slated to be discharged by June 2025.
J-Hope is the next member to complete his military service and is expected to be discharged in October 2024.
