Indonesian singer and actress Bunga Citra Lestari, also known as BCL, unexpectedly lost her husband, Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair, this year in February to a heart attack.

She paid tribute to his memory recently through a video posted on May 30, which has since drawn more than four million views on YouTube and has touched many viewers.

Titled Dear Love, the video showed the couple during last year’s Hari Raya when they were entertaining guests. It also showed BCL and her family having a video call with some relatives in Malaysia, including Sinclair’s father and brother.

“Right now, we are discovering that despite all of life’s challenges, we are grateful to have each other,” BCL said in the video. “Like always, I prepared dishes for Eid just like how we did when you (Ashraf) were here. I’m keeping the tradition to make it easier for Noah to adapt to the new normal.”

Noah is the couple’s ten-year-old son.

“Here we are sitting down together, sharing love and sharing laughter because we know you want us to be happy,” she continued in the video. “Dear love, even though you are no longer physically with us, your spirit will always be with us. Praying for you is my way of loving you.”

The 11-minute-long video closed with a photo montage of the family when Ashraf was still alive, and a Hari Raya message from BCL.

“I just can’t stop crying while watching this. I cant even imagine the pain she and noah been thru after Ashraf’s passing. Hope by making this kind of video can reduced your heavy burdens,” wrote one user in the comments section on YouTube.

Another said: “The strongest woman and her amazing family. What a beautiful sight to see. I'm literally bawling through the whole video. Kak BCL, you're so blessed. Everyone loves you and Noah. Stay strong for you and Noah. And stay safe. Selamat lebaran, kak Bunga and family.”
