Chris Hemsworth wants to get everyone in shape with his fitness app launching in February

Centr is a tad costly for an app, but that’s the price you pay to look like Thor.

Why not add just that wee bit of Asgardian pump to your workout this year? It's not that hard, especially when Thor himself is launching his own fitness app early next month.

Chris Hemsworth's app is called Centr and it features personalised workouts, meal plans and mindfulness exercises, all helmed by the actor himself. The programmes also feature a team of international trainers, chefs and wellness experts.

The app will be available for iPhone and Apple Watch starting Feb 4.

“I believe we all have untapped potential,” Hemsworth said in a statement on his website. “And we all need support to achieve our goals. Centr puts the world’s best in the palm of your hand, to help you develop a healthier body, stronger mind and a happier life.”

Besides having Hemsworth as the face of the brand, Centr boasts a workout section, offering 20 or 40 minute sessions and new videos released weekly.

It also features a mindfulness section, an unusual but welcome inclusion of meditation, confidence-building exercises and tips for coping with stress.

The meal plan section can be altered to dietary requirements including gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or pescatarian, and comes with automated shopping lists.

There’s a price to pay, however, before transforming into Thor. Pre-ordered subscription plans for the app cost US$15.99 (S$21.73), and that’s with a 20 percent discount for their “founding members”.

The minute-long trailer for the app, however, could be reason enough to get you onboard. Shot in Australia’s Byron Bay, the video shows a handful of ridiculously attractive trainers working out in the gym, eating roasted vegetables and doing yoga on a beach.
