Comedian Amy Schumer and husband welcome their own little 'royal baby'
She had announced her pregnancy by superimposing her head and that of her husband on the bodies of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Comedian Amy Schumer has announced that she has given birth to a baby boy on the same day as Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
The 37-year-old made a reference to the royal baby with her announcement. She posted a picture of herself, her new baby and her husband Chris Fisher on Instagram with the message: “10.55pm last night. Our royal baby was born.”
Schumer announced her pregnancy in October last year, the same month that Markle, Prince Harry’s wife, announced hers. She later revealed that she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), an extreme form of morning sickness, which forced her to cancel the rest of her comedy tour.
She also spoke about her difficult pregnancy on her Netflix special, Amy Schumer: Growing. She said, “It’s extreme nausea and vomiting. If you've ever had food poisoning, it’s that. I've had that every day for five months. It’s been really awful... I throw up an Exorcist amount every day.”
The star of Train Wreck and I Feel Pretty found time to stop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art while on her way to the hospital to deliver her baby. She posed for photos while organisers were busy getting ready for the Met Gala. She captioned her photo: "Met look this year. Last night on the way to the hospital."
