To prevent overcrowding, police officers will regulate the number of people entering The Promontory, One Fullerton / Merlion Park, Esplanade Park, Esplanade Waterfront Promenade, Marina Bay Sands Waterfront Promenade, and other areas within the vicinity of Marina Bay. When the capacities of these areas reach the planned safety thresholds, these areas will be closed to ensure the safety of members of the public.
Members of the public can view the real-time crowd levels on this website to facilitate their planning.
Furthermore, certain entrances and exits of MRT stations around the Marina Bay will be closed to regulate crowd flow. In the event of overcrowding, trains may bypass affected stations to divert crowds away from these crowded areas.
Once you've arrived at the event, you can enjoy an evening of music, dancing and, of course, fireworks as you count down to 2024 with a star-studded lineup of local and international acts. There’ll be dazzling performances from actress Tasha Low, actor Shawn Thia, as well as singers Iman Fandi, Shazza and Jasmine Sokko, in line with Mediacorp’s commitment to provide platforms for local talent.
Joining them to hype up the crowd are local acts omarKENOBI, Khally, Fuad Rahman, JJ Neo, Daryl-Ann and Vasantham Star 2023 winner Navein Gunasekaran.
Canadian band Crash Adams will also be performing their hits Give Me A Kiss and California Girl.
It’s not just about the music as Singapore’s popular comedians Kumar, Sharul Channa and Suhaimi Yusof will also take to the stage with a comedic dance-off skit.
Hosted by Ebi Shankara and 987’s Germaine Tan, the evening’s festivities will kick off at 7pm – that’s when the gates open – with live DJ performances, food, drinks, games and opportunities to win prizes.
Before the fun starts in real life, you can first head into the metaverse with the Mediacorp Let’s Celebrate 2024 Interactive Game, a collaboration with digital creators Smobler and online gaming platform The Sandbox.
