Why BTS fans think a musical collaboration with Gwen Stefani is coming
It's the same reason that led to last August's Idol collaboration between Korean boyband BTS and American rapper Nicki Minaj.
It’s only a Twitter follow but that’s enough to whip fans of BTS into a frenzy. According to Koreaboo, BTS fans or ARMY, noticed that the K-pop juggernaut and Gwen Stefani have followed each other on Twitter. The Voice judge and coach apparently made the first move.
It may not be a stretch as that was how the BTS and Nicki Minaj collaboration on the song Idol, which was released last August, began. The seven-member boyband has worked with other western artistes before, including Fall Out Boy, Steve Aoki and The Chainsmokers.
The speculation went further than a musical mash-up. Fans think that there may be a possibility of BTS performing with Stefani on The Voice. But whether that happens or not, ARMY still has Crying Over You, the latest collaboration between BTS leader RM and British electro-pop duo Honne released on Mar 27.
The remix, which features RM rapping and London singer Beka’s vocals, marks BTS’s third collaboration with Honne. It already has 10 million streams on Spotify.
And, of course, fans can contend themselves with the just-released teaser video for BTS’ new album, Map Of The Soul: Persona. The album is dropping Apr 12.
