By the power of Mattel, you can get vintage He-Man and Skeletor action figures again
The company is releasing a new Origins Line that looks similar to the early 80s toy design except with more points of articulation.
Those of you who never managed to keep your He-Man toys from the 1980s in mint condition can rejoice. You will be able to get your hands on these vintage-looking action figures again; you just have to wait a while.
Mattel will be releasing the Masters of the Universe Origins Line, beginning with He-Man and Skeletor action figures, from late next year.
The figures are said to look very similar in design to the ones released in the early '80s together with the Masters Of The Universe animated TV series that ran from 1983 to 1985.
An exciting new update is that the figures will have 16 points of articulation compared to the original six. This will allow He-Man to strike more poses, including being able to lift his sword in the air as he calls upon the power of Grayskull.
The packaging is also designed to elicit nostalgia and pay homage to the original with a shiny, metallic font for the titles.
The Origins Line He-Man and Skeletor action figures will be sold at the San Diego Comic-Con this week but will only be officially available to the public in late 2020, closer to the release date of the live-action movie.
The movie is slated for Mar 2021 with Noah Centineo from Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before playing the action hero and alter-ego of Prince Adam of Eternia.
