Visitors riding the Mount Faber cable car line from Mount Faber Peak to Sentosa can look forward to sitting in Hello Kitty-themed cabins as the iconic Sanrio character is having a joint birthday celebration with Singapore Cable Car (SCC).
As both turn 50 this year, SCC is rolling out Hello Kitty cable car cabins from Saturday (Jun 1) to Dec 31.
All cabins, except for the seven SkyOrb cabins, will have one of the five birthday-themed designs that feature the popular character.

Before enthusiasts board the cable car, they can also take pictures at the photo wall, cable car standees and vintage cabins to commemorate the golden jubilee. Of course, these are all Hello Kitty-themed.

The fun doesn’t stop there. The Singapore Cable Car Gift Shop at Mount Faber Peak and Imbiah Lookout will be stocked with Sanrio merchandise, including T-shirts, water bottles and plushies.
SCC turned 50 on Feb 15, while Hello Kitty turns 50 on Nov 1.
Cable car tickets are S$35 per adult and S$25 per child for the Cable Car Sky Pass, which includes a round trip on the Mount Faber Line and Sentosa Line. Currently, there is a 10 per cent discount for those who buy it via the SCC website.
Meanwhile, there will also be a Hello Kitty 50th Run Fest 2024 in Sentosa from Jun 22 to 23. Participants can enjoy Hello Kitty and Friends-themed official run T-shirts, merchandise and photo opportunities.
