Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got married in Las Vegas after Billboard awards
The Game Of Thrones star and middle Jonas brother were apparently pronounced man and wife by an Elvis impersonator in a local Vegas chapel.
The House of Stark and the House of, erm, Jonas, have united. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in hit HBO series Game Of Thrones, and Joe Jonas, one-third of the Jonas Brothers, got married in a surprise ceremony on May 2 after attending the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
The recently reunited JoBros had performed a mashup of their hits at the awards show, including latest single Sucker, and songs from their solo projects. Turner joined her now sisters-in-law Priyanka Chopra (Mrs Nick Jonas) and Danielle Jonas (Mrs Kevin Jonas) in the front row where they danced along to the performance.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the couple then headed to a local Vegas chapel less than two hours after the show, where they were named man and wife by an Elvis impersonator.
Record producer and DJ, Diplo, was the first to break the news when he shared clips on social media of the couple at the chapel with the caption: “Gonna hit up this wedding real quick.” The bride was seen wearing a white dress and a veil.
The newlyweds started dating in 2016 and got engaged in October 2017. It is rumoured they may hold a more official ceremony as Turner’s BFF and co-star Maisie Williams did not manage to attend the night’s nuptials.
