Yohan of K-pop group TST (formerly Top Secret) died on Tuesday (Jun 16) at the age of 28. The cause of death has not been revealed at the request of the family, according to SPOTV, which broke the news on Wednesday.
The singer, whose real name was Kim Jeong-hwan, first debuted with the group NOM in 2015. He then joined Top Secret in 2017. The band’s last release was a single called Count Down in January.
According to the report, Yohan’s wake is being held at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul and the funeral will take place on Jun 18.
Fans have reacted with disbelief at the news and are posting messages of condolences on Yohan’s Instagram page. One follower, 3busan, wrote: “such a beautiful smile.. it’s so so sad i wish i’d know you before all of this. you seem to have had such a beautiful soul..”
Another, called kiim.hh, wrote: "rest in paradise. know that you are in a great place and we love you very much!"
Yohan's most recent Instagram post was two weeks ago where he captioned a post with photos of himself at scenic spots, “I want to go travel.” He also celebrated his birthday in April and posted a photo of himself with a cake.
Korean singer and actor Kiseop commented on Yohan's most recent post, "I miss you."
