He’s an actor, a musician and a film producer and now Keanu Reeves is adding another role to his resume: Comic book writer.

The John Wick star is co-writing BRZRKR with bestselling graphic novelist Matt Kindt.

Alessandro Vitti will illustrate and the series will be distributed through Boom! Studios.

The 12-issue series tells the story of a violent, immortal warrior known as Berzerker who is trying to figure out how he came to be.

The synopsis reads: "After wandering the world for centuries, Berzerker may have finally found a refuge – working for the US government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else.”

Reeves told USA Today that he would love to play the role of Berzerker if the comic got made into a movie. He said, “It's a really fun story so if it's not me, hopefully someone can play it."

The actor, who’s in Berlin for Matrix 4 rehearsals, added that he’s been “Skyping pretty regularly” with Kindt and that the “story’s taking some really interesting twists and turns.”

According to USA Today, which referred to the series as “action-packed and hyperviolent”, Reeves pitched the character to Boom! Studios as someone “who was born 80,000 years ago, half man, his father's a war god.”

The first issue of BRZRKR is scheduled for print and digital publication on Oct 7.

Reeves can next be seen in Bill And Ted Face The Music, which is slated for an Aug 28 release.
