Kevin Hart out of hospital, in physical therapy following car crash
The actor-comedian suffered a major back injury after his vintage car veered off the road and landed in a ditch earlier this month.
Actor-comedian Kevin Hart has been discharged from hospital after being admitted following a late-night car crash earlier this month.
According to TMZ, he’s now in a live-in rehab facility where he will undergo “intense physical therapy”, after which he will start outpatient care at home.
Hart suffered major back injuries after his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, a vintage car that was driven by a friend, veered off the road and landed in a ditch on Sep 1 in Los Angeles.

The Night Wolf actor was hospitalised and had to undergo surgery. His wife, Eniko Parish, told TMZ several days after the incident that he was doing “great” and was expected to fully recover.
She said: “He’s gonna be just fine. He’s good, everybody’s good.”
Hart had bought the car in July for his 40th birthday and posted a picture of it on Instagram, where he revealed that he nicknamed it Menace.
The Jumanji actor had been slated to be the first guest for Kelly Clarkson’s talk show on Sep 4, but his close friend and frequent co-star, Dwayne Johnson, filled in for him instead.

Johnson left his honeymoon early to be on the show, where he gave a humorous update on his friend’s condition.
“Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son. These things happen in life, and thank God he was strapped in tight to his car seat. We spoke to his paediatrician and he’s doing very well. He’s bummed he couldn’t be here, as you know, but l love the guy. He’s one of my best friends. Thank God, it could’ve been a lot worse. He’s a lucky man. I wish him the best,” Johnson said.
