Watch Kit Chan, Dick Lee and Jasmine Sokko in a free concert at Gardens by the Bay
The two-day event on Aug 10 and 11 will be hosted by Mediacorp DJs Jean Danker, Kun Hua, Farhana and Eswari.
Watch a concert, enjoy family-friendly activities such as face painting, meet the stars of your favourite local TV series or simply grab a bite to eat at the food trucks at the inaugural Gardens by the Bay & Mediacorp National Day Concert.
The two-day free celebratory concert and carnival at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay will take place on Aug 10 and 11 and will feature veteran performers Kit Chan and Dick Lee and up-and-coming artist Jasmine Sokko.
More than 25 personalities will be taking part in the celebrations with Mediacorp DJs Jean Danker, Kun Hua, Farhana and Eswari taking on hosting duties.
The event is themed Our SG, Our Celebration and is a collaboration between Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp as a way to bring Singaporeans together to toast the nation’s birthday.
Main performances will start from 6.30pm but there will be a slew of fringe activities taking place from 4pm on both days.
On Saturday (Aug 10), Chan, Lee and Rahimah Rahim will take to the stage. You can also catch performances from winners of Mediacorp’s music reality shows and special appearances by Star Search 2019 contestants.
And on Sunday (Aug 11), the lineup will include Sokko, South Korea-based and Singapore-born singer Gen Neo; Mandopop band AL4HA; and vocalist Aisyah Aziz.
Family-friendly fringe activities will also be taking place, such as face-painting, balloon sculpting and sand-art workshops, plus an instant photo booth to capture memories with your loved ones.
Catch live broadcasts from GOLD 905, CLASS 95 and 987 DJs at the mobile Mediacorp broadcasting booth, and meet the cast of Mediacorp shows like Fried Rice Paradise – The Drama Series and KIN. Or simply relax and grab a bite to eat from the food trucks.
According to Tham Loke Kheng, CEO, Mediacorp: “We have created this very special event for everyone in Singapore to come together and celebrate, enjoy the performances by our amazing local talent on the gorgeous gathering grounds of Gardens by the Bay, and commemorate the collective achievements of our country.”
