Good news if you’re keen to pick up some Korean, you can now learn the language from none other than K-pop superstars BTS.

The group has launched a new web series called Learn Korean With BTS to help fans do just that.

As self-isolation continues, ARMYs can now look forward to 30 language lessons hosted by their favourite boyband. Big Hit Entertainment released a statement saying that the purpose of the lessons was to “make it easy and fun for global fans who have difficulty enjoying BTS's music and contents due to the language barrier”.

The episodes will touch on Korean grammar and expressions, and will be about three minutes long each.

The lessons aren’t just a side project for the band either – they worked with researchers from the Korean Language Content Institute and Professor Heo Yong of the Department of Korean Education at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies to develop the lesson plans.

The web series was inspired by fans from around the world asking for English subtitles to BTS’ videos. Big Hit Entertainment is also exploring options to bring educational content through other bands in their roster, including the likes of Tomorrow X Together and GFriend.

The first three episodes of Learn Korean With BTS were released on Tuesday through the BTS app Weverse, with subsequent episodes to be released every Monday.
