Korean star Lee Min-ho fronts Lazada’s 11.11 campaign
He is the e-commerce platform's first regional ambassador.
The King returns … on Lazada’s annual 11.11 Shopping Festival this year. Yes, that familiar face you thought you saw fronting the e-commerce platform’s commercial is indeed South Korean actor Lee Min-ho’s.
The leading man, known for his role in the currently streaming TV series The King: Eternal Monarch as well as Boys Over Flowers and City Hunter, is Lazada’s first regional brand ambassador.
“I’m excited to join the Lazada family for the 11.11 shopping festival as their first regional brand ambassador,” said Lee. “Working with the Lazada team has been a really fun and creative experience so far.”
And what does the actor-model favour when it comes to e-shopping? Convenience, for sure, and a large assortment of items ranging from fashion, sports, skincare and wellbeing – at least according to the Lazada commercial, which also features the platform’s local brand ambassadors across southeast asia.
Depending on where you caught the commercial, you might see Lee high-fiving and flashing the signature finger-heart gesture with Agnez Monika and Verrel Bramasta in Indonesia, Ayda Jebat in Malaysia, Kathryn Bernardo in the Philippines, Bella Ranee Campen in Thailand or Chi Pu in Vietnam.
What can you expect from this year's Lazada 11.11 Shopping Festival on Nov 11? If the commercial's jingle isn't indication enough, here's a tip: You can expect buys with the "lowest price, lowest price" as long as you "add to cart".
In addition to discounts and free shipping, there will also be exclusive countdown concerts in different markets during the event for shoppers to enjoy while shopping online.
