New K-pop supergroup with EXO, NCT and SHINee members in the works?
SM Entertainment is set to make an announcement on Aug 8 about a group that is said to comprise Taemin, Kai, Baekhyun, Taeyong, Mark, Lucas and Ten.
Western rock bands often get together to form supergroups, so why not Kpop bands?
According to Soompi.com, SM Entertainment is planning a new boyband that will feature members from its stable of groups, namely SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Kai and Baekhyun, and NCT’s Taeyong, Mark, Lucas and Ten (the latter two are also part of NCT’s Chinese unit WayV).
The group is reportedly set to debut sometime in 2019, and according to reports, it will not be a temporary side project but an actual group that will be performing concurrently with the members’ other bands.
SM Entertaiment has said it will be making an official announcement on Aug 8.
