Madonna announces Madame X tour dates for 'rare and intimate performances'
The singer will be skipping her usual stadium tours for a series of small theatre venues for around 2,000 fans at a time.
Madonna will be embarking on an American tour in September in support of her upcoming album, Madame X. The album is slated for release on June 14.
The concerts will apparently be an intimate affair as the singer will only be performing in smaller-capacity theatres across the country.
The tour will kick off on September 12 at the 2100-capacity BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in New York for the first of a seven-night appearance. Following that, she will perform for four nights at the Chicago Theatre in October and five nights at The Wiltern in Los Angeles in November.
She will also hit theatres in Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia and Miami with dates to be confirmed later.
The 60-year-old superstar will be touring internationally in 2020 with appearances at the Coliseum in Lisbon, the Palladium in London and the Grand Rex in Paris.
Madame X is Madonna’s 14th studio album and is said to be the name of the singer’s eye-patched alter ego. She performed the lead single, Medellin, alongside Colombian singer Maluma at the recent Billboard Music Awards.
