Prince Harry wishes 'amazing wife' Meghan Markle a happy birthday
The Duchess of Sussex just turned 38 and she's getting a lot of well-wishes from her husband's side of the family.
Meghan Markle turned 38 yesterday (Aug 4) and birthday greetings have poured in from well-wishers, including from her husband’s side of the family.
Prince Harry sent his wife a simple yet sweet message on their official Instagram account, sussexroyal. The caption accompanying a photo of the Duchess read: “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure! – Love, H.”
The new mother of baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor received several birthday greetings from her in-laws.
Prince William and wife, Kate Middleton, said: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!” They included a photo of the four of them, together with Prince Charles, from Christmas last year.
Prince Charles and wife Camilla also shared several photos of Markle on their Clarence House Instagram page, with the caption: “A very Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”
Even Markle’s grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, got in on the action, sending a very straightforward message through the Royal Family’s official account. “Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex. The Duchess was born on this day in 1981.”
The former Suits actress recently guest edited the Sep issue of British Vogue, which featured 15 women she considered to be ‘Forces for Change’ on the cover. She said she wanted to steer the focus of the issue to "the values, causes and people making impact in the world today".
The magazine was released early this month and included teenage climate change campaigner Greta Thunberg, New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, boxer Ramla Ali and actress and women's rights advocate Salma Hayek Pinault.
