At the 2019 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which took place this morning (Jan 28) in Los Angeles, Crazy Rich Asians stars took to the red carpet.
The ensemble cast of Crazy Rich Asians was nominated for Outstanding Performance in a Motion Picture but conceded the award to Black Panther.
At the ceremony, Singaporean representation was accounted for in the form of actresses Fiona Xie and Tan Kheng Hua.
Xie wore a tulle Schiaparelli strapless gown with floral-embellished bodice, ET reported.
She also scored a wefie with Tan and US actress Sandra Oh, who won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in Killing Eve.
Meanwhile, Tan, in an Ong Shunmugam dress, told ET, "We're a true ensemble. Ensemble means people who work together, support each other, are generous and kind to each other. And, you know what, the harmony in Crazy Rich Asians, the family, is amazing."
Xie and Tan also chatted with director Jon M Chu and fellow cast members Harry Shum Jr and Ronny Chieng, telling Access that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had called Chu to complain facetiously about not having been cast in the movie.
Also lending glittery star factor to the event were Crazy Rich Asians stars Michelle Yeoh in Elie Saab, Henry Golding in Tom Ford and Gemma Chan in Oscar de la Renta.
Constance Wu was also decked out in Oscar de la Renta, choosing to appear in an understated strapless dress with a light sheen.
