Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore to open on Feb 14, will have themed rides, shops and food

It looks like your Valentine's Day plans for 2025 have already been set. On Feb 14, 2025, the highly-anticipated Minion Land will open at Universal Studios Singapore (USS). Based on the hit Despicable Me franchise, the space will feature a slew of themed rides and stalls for wholesome family fun.

It comprises three main areas: Gru's Neighbourhood, Super Silly Fun Land, and Minion Marketplace.

Here's what you can expect.

After four Despicable Me movies, fans will finally know what it's like to step into Gru's house at the Gru's Neighbourhood area. Here lies Despicable Me Minion Mayhem – an immersive motion simulator ride that transforms guests into Minions as they ride through Gru's secret lab.

With a gorgeous view of USS' lagoon, Super Silly Fun Land is where you can fuel up and also go on a few rides. At Silly Swirly, guests can take off in uniquely-styled vehicles and spin and soar through the sky.

Those who are peckish can then head to Super Hungry Food Stand – a restaurant that's a larger-than-film version of the waterfront snack stand from Despicable Me – or Pop-A-Nana which boasts Minion-inspired popcorn flavours.

Indulge in a variety of Despicable Me-themed food at Super Hungry Food Stand, including Japanese curry chicken karaage rice with crispy chicken karaage and poached vegetables.

There'll also be a vegan burger featuring a crunchy mushroom patty with guacamole, Minion mantous served with Singapore chili crab sauce, and rainbow cheesecake inspired by Fluffy.

Super Silly Fun Land is also home to Buggie Boogie – a Minion dance party-themed carousel that's exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore where you can hop aboard a fleet of silly creatures and dance to remixed versions of popular songs.

Commemorate your visit to Minion Land with a trip to Minion Marketplace. The area boasts three main shops where you can snag themed sweet treats and merchandise: Sweet Surrender, Pop Store and Fun Store.

With a giant jawbreaker vending machine perched on its store, Sweet Surrender features loads of Minion-themed apparel, plushies and souvenirs, making it a must-visit for die-hard fans. At Pop Store, you can get the latest fashion items and trendiest styles with a Minion twist. Those who are all about accessories and toys can head to Fun Store.

To mark the opening of Minion Land on Feb 14, two limited-edition, Universal Studios Singapore-exclusive Super Silly Space Killer figures will be launched: A premium vinyl collectible in iridescent finish (limited to 100 pieces) and a full-coloured vinyl figure (limited to 1,000 pieces).
