Critically-acclaimed musical Miss Saigon is returning to thrill Singapore audiences again after 23 years. The Cameron Mackintosh production will have a limited season at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands from Aug 15.

The musical opens in Singapore following a successful season in Australia. 

Miss Saigon follows the love story of 17-year-old Vietnamese girl Kim and American Marine sergeant Chris, set against the Vietnam War. Classic hits include The Heat Is On In Saigon and The Movie In My Mind. 

The musical premiered in London's West End in 1989 with Lea Salonga playing the part of Kim. Salonga eventually won a Tony Award and a Laurence Olivier Award for her performance.

Fans can now enter the waitlist for tickets to Singapore's session of Miss Saigon at this website from now till 11.59pm on Feb 18. Waitlist subscribers and Maybank cardmembers can enjoy priority access from Feb 20.

General sales will then commence on Feb 23 via Marina Bay Sands' site and Sistic.

Cameron Mackintosh said in a statement: "I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing my spectacular new production of Miss Saigon to Singapore. Without doubt, it is the best production of Saigon I have ever produced in Asia."
