Mandopop fans, have you been feeling the itch for a live outdoor concert? You’ll get to scratch it real soon.

The One Love Asia Festival, which will feature some of the biggest names from the scene, will be held at the Bayfront Event Space near Marina Bay Sands over two days (Oct 22 to 23) this year.

Headlining this inaugural outdoor music and lifestyle festival is Stefanie Sun, the crooner behind the hit song Ni Guang.

Joining her are award-winning singers like Show Lo, Malaysian hip-hop artiste Namewee and Singapore-born Tanya Chua – who recently bagged four wins at this year’s Golden Melody Awards.

You can also look forward to the likes of Kelly Chen, WeiBird, F.I.R., Yoga Lin and Oaeen (who previously went by Sodagreen).

According to festival organisers IMC Live Global, each act will be performing full 40-minute sets, accompanied by a band and music production. “In short, (the artistes are) coming out swinging!” they announced in the press release.

The inaugural One Love Asia Festival was originally scheduled for May 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.

If you’re excited to watch some of your favourite voices in Mandopop do their thing in person, you don’t have to wait long – tickets to the One Love Asia Festival will be available on All Access Asia and SISTIC’s websites from 11am on Jul 25 onwards.

General admission tickets cost S$121 for one day and S$221 for a two-day pass. Premium admissions tickets, which will allow fans to enjoy a differentiated entrance and access to more facilities, go for S$161 and S$281 for one- and two-day passes, respectively.

The festival is just one among a range of outdoor music events that are making their comeback as pandemic restrictions continue easing up – dance music festival ZoukOut will be returning to Siloso Beach for the first time in three years this December.
