Qi Yuwu gets a chance to celebrate his birthday in Singapore with Joanne Peh
His work commitments last year meant the couple spent his birthday apart, but this year, he's home for the special day.
Qi Yuwu is back in Singapore and able to spend his birthday with his wife, Joanne Peh, and their children.
The actor turned 43 on Saturday (Nov 28) and Peh shared an Instagram post of their celebrations, which included photos of some of the delicious treats he had, including a birthday “cake” made up of what looked like several scoops of ice cream.
Peh captioned the post: “Always thankful to be able to celebrate (Yuwu's) birthday in person!”
Last year, Qi had work commitments in China during the period so the couple had to settle for an early birthday celebration before his actual birthday. Peh wrote in an Instagram post at the time that her husband had to celebrate the day "with the production team in China".
He also spent a large part of the second half of this year in Malaysia filming the iQIYI drama The Ferryman: Legends Of Nanyang.
It seems Peh has been waiting a long time to have Qi home. She posted a photo of herself and her husband last week that she captioned: “The best way to start the day — breakfast after school drop off with (Yuwu). It’s been so long”.
