Rebecca Lim and Andie Chen win acting prizes at the Asian Television Awards

Rebecca Lim and Andie Chen took home trophies for Best Leading Female and Male Performance – Digital, respectively, at the 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA) held on Saturday (Jan 13) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
They won the awards for their roles in the psychological thriller Third Rail.
Both artistes took to Instagram to acknowledge their wins.
Andie wrote: “When I was offered the role of John Ho on Third Rail, I knew I had to be part of this production. @ochrepictures was pushing the limits of what a Singaporean TV series could achieve, and I was eager to contribute to this historic project in Singaporean TV history.”
Rebecca also shared her gratitude on Instagram, writing, “What an amazing start to 2024. As I prepare for my most challenging role to date – becoming a mother, I am grateful for all the love I’ve received from each and every one of you.”
She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, for Third Rail.
These were just two of Mediacorp’s four wins from the second day of this year’s ATA, which revealed winners in the Entertainment and Performance categories. The national broadcaster clinched two other awards on Jan 12, which announced winners in the Technical and Programming categories, securing six awards in total.
The other wins include the Best Single Drama or Telemovie award clinched by Mediacorp Channel 8’s thriller Silent Walls, starring Tay Ying, Andie Chen, Ayden Sng, Desmond Ng, Meixin, Fang Rong, Tasha Low, Mindee Ong and more.
Fantasy romance series Oppa, Saranghae!, starring Rui En, Kim Jae-hoon, Tasha Low and Mei Xin, took home the Best Theme Song prize for Wind From The Galaxy by Kim Jae-hoon, XiaoJiu and Zheng Jianxing.
The final two prizes went to TV series Metaverse Nation produced by Chloe Cho, winning the Best Infotainment Programme and Best Extended Reality Project awards.
Mediacorp picked up eight awards at the 2022 ATA, including Terrestrial Broadcaster of the Year, Best Actress in a Leading Role for Eswari Gunasagar and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Jeffrey Xu.
