Everything must go: Robinsons is having a closing down sale now
There will be discounts across all product ranges at the Heeren and Raffles City Shopping Centre outlets, including fashion, beauty and homeware.
Robinsons Singapore has launched an “everything must go” closing down sale that started on Friday (Nov 6). In a press release sent on the same day, the retailer said there will be reductions across all product ranges at its two remaining stores at The Heeren and Raffles City Shopping Centre.
These include fashion, beauty, homeware, accessories and travel items. Even brand-new stock will be discounted as their warehouses are being emptied.
The retailer announced on Oct 30 that it would be closing its stores due to weak demand stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift from offline to online shopping. It had already closed its Jem outlet in August.
Shoppers have been flocking to the stores since news of its impending closure, leading to snaking queues at the Heeren outlet.
Robinsons is one of the oldest retailers in Singapore, having been here for 162 years.
According to the press release, “the liquidators are hoping the stores will remain open for the coming weeks in order to facilitate final sales for customers”, although this is subject to confirmation.
When asked by CNA Lifestyle on Nov 6 how long the sale would last and when the stores would close, a Robinsons spokesperson said, "Until all the stock has sold".
