Comedian Ronny Chieng is headed to Singapore on his brand new Tone Issues tour.

He will be performing at the Esplanade Theatre on Nov 29 at 7pm.

Tickets from S$68 are now on sale on Sistic.

The Johor Bahru, Malaysia-born, US-based comedian is best known as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. His other high profile gigs include hit comedy Crazy Rich Asians, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Chieng spent 10 years in Singapore when he was younger, studying at Pioneer Secondary School and Pioneer Junior College in his teens. He revealed in a 2016 tweet that he scored 233 on his PSLE.

He still has family living in Singapore, including his mother, whom he joked about in a recent set he performed in Toronto about having to help her with tech issues. 

Chieng recently filmed his debut Netflix special in Los Angeles and will be touring the US, Australia and New Zealand with his Tone Issues show.

The standup comic was a law student in Australia before he turned to comedy. He is a previous winner of both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer and Director’s Choice Awards, and also won the Sydney Comedy Festival’s Best Show award in 2014.
