Wings, led by popular singer and actor Awie, will be the first Southeast Asian act to grace the high-energy Zone 4 Padang stage.

Iconic Malaysian rock band, Wings, will be part of the star-studded concert lineup at this year's Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, Singapore GP said on Friday (Aug 5). 

The popular group, led by singer and actor Awie, will perform on Friday (Sep 30) between F1 practice sessions. 

The show will also feature the other four members of Wings: Sham, Eddie, Edrie and Black. 

Since its debut in 1985, Wings has produced 11 studio albums and sold nearly 2 million records. Its most popular hits include Sejati and Taman Rashidah Utama.

Other acts performing at this year's F1 include Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, The Kid Laroi, Marshmello, Suede and TLC.

Smaller, roving acts will add to the festival atmosphere this year, Singapore GP said. Showing throughout Circuit Park are American indie pop band iDKHOW, Kerala-based indie folk group When Chai Met Toast, Singapore singer-songwriter Inch Chua and rapper Shigga Shay.

Singapore GP will also shine on a spotlight on the local art scene, with works from 8EyedSpud, HAFI and Paper Carpenter set to go on display.

Tickets for the event start from S$98 for a Friday Zone 4 Walkabout pass and can go up to S$9,898 for access to the Formula 1 Paddock Club. Further details are available on the official Singapore Grand Prix website.
