Instead of the usual two-day shopping frenzy, Amazon Prime members in Singapore will get six whole days to cart out when the annual Prime Day event runs from Jul 16 to 21. This marks the longest Prime Day event by Amazon Singapore - up from its standard 48-hour window.
Held in more than 20 countries, Amazon Prime Day is the ecommerce giant's largest sale event of the year, just for Prime members. The event has been compared to the likes of Black Friday and 11.11 sales, since it began in 2015. During the event, Prime members get to enjoy substantial deals and discounts on a wide range of products.
Some exclusive deals this year include up to 65 per cent savings on Toys Brand Boxes from Lego, Playdoh, and more; up to 50 per cent savings on Owala (should you want a new it-girl accessory, the waterbottle) and other popular home and kitchen brands.
Aside from the extended celebrations next month, Prime members will also get early access deals on Amazon Fresh - the grocery arm of Amazon - before Prime Day. Notable deals include up to 30 per cent off selected carton deals.

For non-Prime members feeling left out, there will be deals to discover at a "roving truck" that will bring activities to two spots in Singapore in the lead up to Prime Day.
From Friday to Sunday (Jun 28 to 30), the truck will be stationed at Suntec City. And from Jul 12 to 14, as well as on Jul 16, the truck will be at Bugis+. It will remain at both locations from 4pm to 9pm on the selected dates.
And if you've always wanted to enhance your items with vibrant motifs, local artist Ee Shaun will make an appearance at the truck on Jul 13 and 14 from 6pm to 8pm in a live booth. The artist known for his brightly coloured murals will be customising items at the booth.
Anyone can participate in these activities at the truck, from redeeming snacks to scoring Prime Day deals. All you need is to present your Amazon.sg app.
To avoid the last-minute panic buy, Prime members can visit the Prime Day event page on the Amazon.sg app between now and Prime Day to create a wishlist of sorts. They can create deal alerts, and once Prime Day arrives, members will receive push notifications on any available deals.
