SINGAPORE: It's been a gruelling five days of walking for CNA journalists Matthew Mohan and Gaya Chandramohan and on Friday (Oct 16), they finally wrapped their epic journey across all corners of Singapore. They have covered 140km on foot, 30km more than the projected 110km for the journey. They had set off on their expedition at 6am on Monday from Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre and reached the same place just before 2.30pm on Friday.

They had set out with one mission: To uncover the best bits of the island, some of which Singaporeans might not know about. Along the way, they had an unexpected walking companion in actress Zoe Tay, who joined them on Friday morning as a surprise tour guide for Lim Chu Kang.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY 5:

The day before, they notched their longest leg of the tour yet, walking a whopping 32km from Yishun, with a well-needed stop at the Sembawang Hot Springs to soak their tired feet.
