There’s a chic new spot to shop for jade. Spanish luxury marque Loewe has teamed up with three master jade cravers to launch a capsule collection for Chinese New Year.
In an Instagram post, Loewe shared: “Jade has a storied history in China, used for thousands of years – symbolising goodness, intelligence, prosperity, and luck.”
Tapping on the craft of ancient jade sculptures, the Chinese jade carvers Qijing Qiu, Xiaojin Yin and Lei Cheng have been commissioned to each create a limited-edition, hand-carved pendant mounted on an 18K gold chain.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Cheng explained: “I believe that jade itself is a quintessential part of our nation. Its constant presence throughout our history and cultural journey makes it not just a companion, but also a spiritual anchor for our people.”
The limited-edition pendants are available exclusively at Casa Loewe concept stores in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu.
