2PM’s Nichkhun to co-star with Byron Mann in new Hollywood film
The two will play friends from rich families who go to Hong Kong and meet a Polish model in the romantic comedy called Hong Kong Love Story.
Nichkhun of K-pop boyband 2PM is set to star in a Hollywood film – a romantic comedy called Hong Kong Love Story.
The film is said to be based on the real-life experiences of Hong Kong-American actor Byron Mann, who will also be starring in the show.
Mann is known for his roles in TV series Wu Assassins, Little Fires Everywhere and Altered Carbon, as well as the films Skyscraper and The Big Short.
Nichkhun, who is Thai-American, has starred in Brother Of The Year, the second highest-grossing film in Thailand in 2018, and the horror flick Cracked. He was also a voice actor on the Disney animated film, Big Hero 6.
The two will play friends who are from rich families. Their relationship is tested when they go to Hong Kong and meet a Polish model, who will be played by Polish actress Dominika Kachlik.
Also starring in the movie is veteran Hong Kong actor Kenneth Tsang, whose Hollywood credits include The Killer, Memoirs Of A Geisha and Die Another Day.
The film is set to begin production in December with Keoni Waxman directing, based on a spec written by Mann. The pair had worked together previously on The Ravine.
