Crazy Rich Asians star Fiona Xie is using her downtime during this pandemic period to spend time with family and friends – and also to take up online courses.

The 38-year-old actress told radio station Love 972 DJs Mark Lee, Dennis Chew, Marcus Chin and Chen Biyu in an interview that she’s not at all bored staying at home and in fact, finds it satisfying to spend time with her loved ones.

Xie, who often used to fly overseas for work and leisure, said her life is "fulfilling" as she uses her time to explore different parts of Singapore and rides a bike for exercise.

She said during the radio interview: "I choose to slow down, and I go online to look for courses that I can take up. These are the things I want to do now.”

Xie revealed that several filming jobs have been suspended due to the pandemic, including the sequel to Crazy Rich Asians. She also shared that she turned down the chance to film in Malaysia in order to stay with her family in Singapore during this period.
