These popular Disney characters appear in a series of animated short films in uniquely Singaporean and Malaysian settings.

Catch popular Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy in uniquely Singaporean and Malaysian settings as part of the Mickey Go Local animated short series.
The first two-minute long clip called Master Hawker premiered on Disney Channel on Jul 19. It features Mickey Mouse as a satay stall owner who gets into a fight with the roti prata seller, who is none other than Donald Duck, over Goofy’s patronage. It appears that Goofy was happy to enjoy Mickey’s grilled satay until Donald lures him away with some prata dipped in curry.
The limited dialogue 2D animation series has Mickey and friends exploring Singapore and Malaysia's food, architecture, language and even traditional wear. They sometimes play tourist and other times, act as locals showing viewers the way of life.Â
There will be six shorts in total, with one premiering every month until Jan 2020, on the Disney channel and its social media platforms.
The series is produced wholly in Southeast Asia with voiceover artists from Malaysia and sound-design done by a Singapore-based firm.
