Zouk Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have partnered up to bring a series of virtual parties right to your homes.

Known as Zouk Phuturescapes, the virtual parties for audiences all over the world will take place over the last weekend of May.

It won’t just be any ordinary party either, as partygoers can expect to experience a curated line-up of local and international DJs and musicians, as well as innovative technology elements such as augmented reality filters and 3D virtual backgrounds.

The event kicks off on Friday (May 29) at 11pm in the United States, which is Saturday (May 30) at 11am here in Singapore.

Following that, the party moves to Asia and Australia on May 30, 8pm and then to the United Kingdom on May 31, 5pm (Jun 1, midnight, Singapore time).

Up to 1,000 guests can register for each party, which will be hosted on Zoom, and streamed on Zouk’s and STB’s Facebook and YouTube pages. You can register for the events here.

Catch international headliners including American DJ Diplo and British DJ Christina Novelli.

Local artistes such as Zouk’s resident DJs LeNERD and Che’Molly, as well as DJ KoFlow, rapper Yung Raja and singer-songwriter Jasmine Sokko will also be performing.

Rapper ShiGGa Shay and model-presenter Hanlie Hoefer will be emceeing the virtual parties.

STB and Zouk also worked with VICE to create specially-made augmented reality (AR) filters for Instagram for this event, one of which is an avatar of Diplo against a 3D virtual background of Gardens by the Bay.

Other AR filters and virtual backgrounds will also be available for partygoers to use to spice up the experience.

STB Assistant Chief Executive (Marketing Group) Lynette Pang said: “We aspire to take the concept of virtual parties to the next level through a mix of content curation, immersive technology, audience engagement, and innovative marketing. In doing so, we will showcase the best of Singapore’s entertainment and nightlife, and shine the spotlight on our home-grown talents.”

Zouk Group Chief Executive Officer Andrew Li said: “Through Phuturescapes, we hope to unite our global community on a safe and readily accessible platform for all to tune in, dance along together, engage with one another, and collectively look forward to the day guests from around the world can be welcomed into the club again.”
