Sorry metalheads, Slipknot and Trivium have cancelled their performances here due to the COVID-19 situation.

The bands were originally scheduled to perform in Singapore on Mar 24 as part of Singapore Rockfest II. The postponements will affect not just the Singapore dates, but also extend to their appearances in other parts of the region as well, according to an LAMC Productions announcement on Thursday (Mar 5).

“While decisions like this are not easy, the safety and well-being of the band’s fans always comes first. Furthermore, in this case, the bands and artists, crew and local employees are also equally affected, and as such, this was the only responsible decision that could be made,” Slipknot said in a statement.

Slipknot also announced that Knotfest Japan will be postponed, but assured fans that they will be returning to Asia soon.

Meanwhile, Trivium said: “Due to circumstances outside of our control we have been forced to postpone all of our tour dates in March in Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. We also will not be making a scheduled press stop in Germany at this time.”

“We hope to reschedule these dates very soon. Thanks, and stay safe out there,” the band added.

All tickets purchased through SISTIC will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, as LAMC Productions works with the two bands on scheduling a new date for their performances.

Earlier in the week, Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil, which was slated to perform in Singapore on Mar 27, also announced a cancellation. The band released this statement: "We regret to inform our beloved fans of South East Asia that due to circumstances beyond our control we must cancel our upcoming shows in Dubai, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore and Jakarta.”
