Blackpink’s Jisoo, 29, says she wasn't pretty as a kid, used to look like a 'triangle kimbap'

Blackpink’s Jisoo, 29, is known for her good looks and she was ranked seventh on TC Candler’s, um, controversial ‘The 100 Most Beautiful Faces in the World’ list for 2023.
During her recent appearance on Lee Hyeri’s YouTube talk show, Jisoo revealed she never thought of herself as beautiful when she was younger.
She was posed this question by Hyeri: “When did you start being so beautiful?”
“I was never popular before starting high school,” said Jisoo. In Korea, teens typically attend high school from 16 to 18.
Jisoo felt that the hairstyle she had during her middle school years made her look “like a triangle kimbap”.
It was only later on in high school did she start finding love letters and snacks from admirers on her table. It was then did she realise she was popular amongst her schoolmates.

After watching her interview with Hyeri, netizens wasted no time in finding photos from Jisoo's schooling days.
In one pic that has since gone viral, Jisoo sported a short bob with bangs, not dissimilar to a triangle kimbap.

In a past interview, Jisoo revealed that her older brother and sister were very good looking as kids, and she was often mocked by her relatives for paling in comparison.
“My relatives treated me as an outsider, because I used to be very ugly. They used to call me ‘monkey’,” said Jisoo.
Well, guess who’s eating their words now?
