Taiwanese Celeb Couple Di Ying And Sun Peng’s 22-Year-Old Son Wins 4th Place At Bodybuilding Competition

You might remember hearing about Taiwanese celeb couple Di Ying and Sun Peng’s son, Edward Sun, on the news a couple of years ago.
Edward, who is now 22, was deported from the United States in 2018 after allegedly “threatening to shoot up his high school”.
Then then-teen maintained that he was joking, and was eventually charged with “attempting to manufacture a firearm” in Taiwan in 2020. He has since spoken about the incident in a YouTube video.
Thanks to his parent’s support, Edward is now doing well and has become an influencer with over 207K subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Edward has also picked up bodybuilding, and regularly posts clips of himself getting into beast mode.

After all his efforts, it was reported that Edward had won fourth place at the recent WNBF (World National Bodybuilding Federation) Taiwan Open International Championships under the young adults under 70kg category.
He shared that he reduced his weight from 75kg to 69kg for the competition while building up his muscles and hitting a body fat percentage of six per cent.
“When I went on stage and was first [called] out for the judging process, I did have hopes of entering the top three spots. But I feel that getting fourth place has also made me feel that all my hard work and time spent preparing for this competition has been worth it," he said, adding that he now has the “first ever medal of his life”.

Sun Peng and Di Ying were also there to cheer their son on.
Edward revealed that Sun Peng just had surgery on his hand, yet he rushed down to support him as soon as he could.
He was also grateful to his mother for preparing meals for him in the days leading up to the competition.
Edward also extended his gratitude towards his trainer and girlfriend.
“Thank you to all those who have been supporting me, I would not have been able to achieve what I did without you guys. I will continue to be diligent, so everyone can carry on supporting me and get to see an even more better version of me,” said Edward.
