Karina, a member of the popular K-pop girl group Aespa, and Alchemy Of Souls actor Lee Jae-wook are dating. The news was first reported by South Korean news agency Dispatch and later confirmed by the celebrities' respective agencies.
On Tuesday (Feb 27) morning, Dispatch reported that Karina and Lee first met at the recent Prada fashion show in Milan which was held on Jan 14 this year. The outlet added that the two stars "usually meet in Lee’s neighbourhood" and "have been spotted on a late night walk".
A few hours later, the agencies of Karina and Lee confirmed the report. Speaking to news outlet Sports Chosun, Karina's agency SM Entertainment said: "Karina and Lee Jae-wook are now getting to know each other."
This was echoed by Lee's agency C-JeS Studios, which added: "Since Lee Jae-wook is currently working on a new piece and the matter is a private one, we ask for your warm support."
Karina first debuted as a member of Aespa in November 2020. Since then, Aespa has become one of the most successful girl groups amongst the "fourth generation" of K-pop. Karina herself is one of the most-followed female idols on Instagram, boasting over 12 million followers.
Aespa will be staging its first concert in Singapore this July.
